Where would you be?
1 Cor 12:18 But now God has arranged the parts, each one of them in the body, just as He desired.
I've never been a fan of the phrase you can be anything you want to be because it's just not true. You cannot be a gold medal Olympian 100-meter sprinter just because you want to. It doesn’t matter how much you train and prepare for it; it just isn't in the cards for you if He didn't arrange it. I mention this because not everything you hope to be is beneficial for the body. This isn’t to say that one or two of us are meant and made to stand on the world stage and receive the honor of a gold medal. This is to show that every one of us is made according to God’s will and given gifts bestowed upon us by our Lord and Savior. Somethings are permissible but not everything is beneficial to the body of Christ. AS Matthew Henry put it, “All the members of the body are, in some respect, useful and necessary to each other… God has so fitted and tempered them together that they are all necessary to one another, and to the whole body; there is no part redundant or unnecessary.”
As a believer you are held to a different standard than those who don't believe. That standard is the Bible. You take grace off the table and put discipline on the table. God doesn't need your additional grace. His is sufficient. He needs our obedience. Obedience to the predestined arrangements He's already made as it pertains to the gifts He has given us. Our obedience is also required to develop our talents so we can have everything we need to fulfill His purpose here on earth. God is to be glorified and lifted up through us so that He can draw on all men. He wants to do that through you. He will do that as you yield to His will and purpose for your life. Sis, if you found 2022 difficult to find your purpose or walk in it, I hope and pray that you take this last week of the year asking God for direction so you can show up in 2023.
Your P.R.E.T.T.Y purpose is waiting on you
