Sis, Thrust In your Sickle
Revelation 14:15
And another angel came out of the temple, calling out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, "Put in your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.”
How long will you sit on the sidelines waiting and watching? It is time for you to get in there, thrust in your sickle and reap the harvest of the people for God's kingdom. Last week, I explained that your sickle is your purpose and it's time to thrust it into the field you have been working. Just like a sickle, your purpose, when used to glorify God and advance His kingdom is a sharp farming tool. In order for the tool to be useful, for your purpose to be useful, you need to understand its use so that you may properly reap the harvest.
To thrust means to push violently or suddenly in a specified direction. When paired with the biblical definition we see that it means to send out or to send one thing into another. Sis, it is time you find and know your God given purpose and start walking in it now. Waiting for the perfect timing is no longer useful to the kingdom. We need to go out with confidence knowing the great commission the Lord has commanded of us. There is to be no hesitation in our walk but a swiftness to using our so called sickle. We can do that by discovering, receiving, and walking in our God given purpose, using our talents within a field or industry we have been placed in.
When we walk in purpose coupled with prayer and the study of God's word, we will feel compelled, strengthened, and a boldness to easily share the gospel with those we influence just from being in our designated lane.
I'm encouraging you to become one of the few laborers to gather the plentiful harvest.
