Sis, Endure!

Revelation 14:12

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Let's have a quick recap on what purpose means. So, purpose is the reason for which something is done or created, or for which something exists. Your gifts and talents will be utilized within your purpose and are likened to the seed that farmers plant. Just how a farmer plants his seed into fertile ground, you are to sow your gifts and talents into an industry so that your purpose can operate here on the earth. By operating in purpose, I believe you will walk with more confidence and have a boldness to share Christ for the sake of advancing His kingdom. It is then that the true work of the Lord is done by the grace and authority of God himself.

To be patient means to persevere and endure. To have endurance is the fact of enduring an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way. The Lord is calling for our endurance. No, every moment of practiced patience will not be agreeable or satisfying. In fact, it is within the very definition that we are told it will be displeasing and we will want to throw our objections up to the one who has promised to make our burden light. From the beginning we are told the world will hate us because it has hated Him. There was never a promise that our life would become easy because we praise the name of the Lord our God. In fact, this places an even bigger target on our back for the sake of pointing others back to Him. We see today that the world tries to give more reason for people to participate in sinful and evil practices, and even a heavy pressure for them to do so, all while calling the things of God and the things of the Bible evil, antiquated, hypocritical, and bigoted. How much more should we have a heart to endure in the things of God given the pressures and views of the state of the world today?

One way to endure is to keep God front and center of your life. If you read, pray, and live out the commandments given to you, God will remain at the center of your life. He will remind you of His desires for your life and instruct you along the way. One way to do that is to locate your purpose and do that work as unto the Lord. Those seeds you planted will lead to a harvest large enough to share with those around you. By working your field many will see how God has blessed you, kept you, and sustained you. And if they do not see the work, you go out with a godly authority, with boldness and courage, and witness to those by bringing the yield of the harvest to them. So, sis endure to the end. Keep your eye on the prize. God needs you to operate in purpose for the advancement of the kingdom of God.

Endurance looks good on you, sis!
