Put Your Hand to It!

Deuteronomy 28:8 The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to the Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you one
Hey! Hi and Hello, P.R.E.T.T.Y women! I want you all to take notice of what is most important in this passage. I know it is easy to focus in on the part of scripture that promises blessings upon blessings, but the Bible makes it very clear that first must come obedience. In Deuteronomy 28:1, before the blessing is handed out, we are told to hearken diligently to the voice of the Lord, to observe and to do all his commandments. We are commanded to listen with care to the voice of the LORD. To hearken diligently takes it one step further. It includes being able to understand the voice of our Father. There is no use in listening if we don’t even understand what it is we are tasked to hear. When we observe his commandments, we are to not only watch and wait for the opportunity to obey. We are to protect and safeguard each commandment given to us by God because it is the principle for how we are to live. We are to stand by them, unwavering, because this is what God has asked of us. Now, in the King James translation it is worded the Lord will command the blessing. I like that! Our Father is commander and chief when He does a blessing. When we read through the passage, we see that the blessings do not just come upon us, but they overtake us. We see blessings everywhere. “The fruit of thy body, the fruit of thy ground, the fruit of thy cattle… of thy sheep.” Y’all, it just goes on and on! It even speaks of nations being blessed because the people have worked to keep God’s commands and live as He is calling them to live. Baby, it's blessed! You only need to obey Christ and get to work. The blessing will hit your house and everything you put your hand to all for the glory of God. It's there for the taking, but there is work for you to do and it takes obedience to do it. You must put your hand to doing the thing that you hope and pray about. You were called to it. The land He is giving you must be tilled and worked. Listen, God wants a land to bless but you must obey Him and put your hands to work. Pretty
