Pray to Sustain
2 Corinthians 9:14
and in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you because of the surpassing grace God has given you.
All month long we've been looking at what we can do to sustain the harvest that God allows us to reap because of the seeds we have sown. Last week’s scripture focus said that those you serve would praise God for your obedience and your generosity. This week it says that those same people are going to offer up prayer for you because of the surpassing grace God has given you, and as a result of your obedience in sowing, the blessing and charity that has been given to them.
When you walk in purpose and serve the population of people in the industry that God has handpicked for you, according to 2 Cor 9:14 the same people that you are serving are going to pray for you and they are going to love on you. They are going to care for you as a return for the very kindness you have shown them. There is no greater kindness shown than to take time out of your day to intercede on behalf of another and ask God to bestow upon them the same wonderful kindness and generosity that was given to you. It is here that we see a cycle of thanks and prayers being uplifted to God because of the obedience of His people.
If I equate what we have explored this month to my life, I can see my field has expanded beyond my styling chair. I have continuously put my seeds in the ground. God’s purpose for my life hasn’t changed, but it has surely evolved. From ministering to women in my chair while they get their hair done, to styling their homes and wardrobes, and now helping them discover and walk in their God given purpose, there I was planting seeds the entire way.
I am urging you to walk in your purpose. Share your gift and utilize your talents for the kingdom of God. You'll be able to touch people in ways that you never have before, and those same people will in turn thank God because you're pointing them back to Him. It is a blessing to serve. Go be used of God, P.R.E.T.T.Y Woman!
