Let Me See You Walk

Colossians 2:6-7 6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Hey! Hi & Hello Purpose Walkers. This week is like no other. I pray God shows up for you in ways that forces you to acknowledge His grace, mercy, and love. I pray that you see it, feel it, and count it. Colossians 2:6-7 bout to give us life chile! See, Paul was writing to the church of Colossae to keep them encouraged. He wanted them to continue in their faith, and even though he couldn’t get to them physically, he needed them to know he was connected to them in spirit. Paul wanted them to continue in the faith without wavering. So, he let them know how to do just that. What a conundrum to be told to walk and stay rooted within the same passage. When he says to walk in Him, Paul is referring to the Greek word meaning to conduct one’s life. This means putting His word into action. It is in the way we move, what we say, and even how we think. We do this by spending time with God, praying and praising, reading and repenting, meditating on his word and marrying ourselves to His statutes. That is when we will begin to take root, and then we will begin to be built up. I find myself having Paul's same heart concerning you, my fellow Purpose Walker. I want to see you thriving and walking in purpose, on purpose. I believe you can thrive in your endeavors to discover and fulfill those goals, dreams, and aspirations that God has placed in you to advance His kingdom. You received Christ, right? Then I know you are walking in Him. Girl, I see you walking around here rooted, built up, established and thankful. Your shoulders squared, your head held high, and your strut on point. And let the world know that confidence comes from Christ, and Christ alone! Let me leave you with this.... Friend girl, some days are harder than others and funks come and go. Easy days and fun seasons do too, but God never changes. He is the best ever and always. He cares for us and loves us so. He is not surprised when we get thrown by this or that. No ma’am, he is always there. So, get rooted and stay rooted in him and watch your roots begin to produce fruit. Being P.R.E.T.T.Y ain't easy and it takes work. You got all that you need and then some to make P.R.E.T.T.Y happen. #getpretty
