Ecclesiastes 11:6 Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well
Hey! Hi and Hello to you, my P.R.E.T.T.Y Friend. I pray that you have been executing your plan and staying on track, so that you’re living on and in purpose. Remaining intentional is detrimental to your success. Listen, idle hands are the devil’s workshop (Proverbs 16:27). This part of scripture is more than just putting in work for you. Yes, we should use our talents and gifts for the kingdom. Yes, we should work diligently in the arena that God has placed us in. And yes, we should do it with a heart of joy for being given such important tasks in this kingdom building. You have been called to place your hand to the plow and to the spindle, so work baby! Your life’s work can be rewarding if you plan your work and work God’s plan. The spindle isn’t just that second or third income generating job either, ladies. Charity is considered one of the greatest works one can do. And when we read about sowing our seeds in the morning and at night, believe it or not, God is speaking to where we are as givers. We do not just succeed for ourselves. We strive to succeed for the glory of God and the goodness we can do unto others. Where and when we sow, God promises there will be a time and place to reap. Remember, you already put your hand to the plow, so keep it there. Put structures and strategies in place to ensure that you’re sowing into good soil. Don’t just haphazardly trapse through life and be sure to not allow distractions to draw you away from kingdom work. We don't know which one is going to be the golden ticket to our success. Will it be the seed planted in soil cultivated directly by us or the seed planted in the soil of someone Christ has been working on? We do not know when the multiplying of our planting will happen, but we can rest assure that God is in control and fully aware of all the goings on. We have only to be faithful in being found doing what we were put here to do for His glory and His glory alone. Do it His way and reap benefits beyond what you could ask or think. Lord, we thank you!
