Gather & Share
Acts 2:42-44
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.
When you network God's way you have to show up with an open heart, trusting God for the best outcomes. This week's instruction regarding networking is to gather and share. Common means to share the same interest or have similar characteristics. The people made sure to stay committed in the way of the apostles' teaching and in the frequent gathering together to discuss their common goal. The goal to advance God’s kingdom and tell the world about Him. In order to achieve this goal, the people needed to remain strong in their faith and be open about their journey in the faith. In the same manner, we need to gather, break bread, pray, and share, not only the material gifts that God has blessed us with but the spiritual gifts and revelations that He has seen fit to reveal to us. We're coming together as one body, as like-minded women with the purpose of networking together.
One Sunday my pastor, Jody Moore, spoke about Romans 1:10-15. Paul wanted to go to Rome to encourage them in their faith. He wanted to go there to impart to them a spiritual gift that will further strengthen them. Impart means to communicate or make something known to an individual or persons. Paul wanted to continue to make Christ known and placed first amongst the congregation in Rome, and Paul being the great communicator he was – in both his prayer life and in the way he would depose to the people – was hoping to be able to make it to Rome in order to impart to them the encouraging word of God. That gift was going to strengthen them, and it was going to restore them.
I'm coming on here and I'm saying we are going to do as Acts 2:44 in our networking groups. We are going to gather and share. We will pray and break bread so that our bond and our task remain on common ground. We are going to impart one another with the true and strengthening word of God. We will share our journey, trials, and triumphs in our faith. We will share according to the needs of our brothers and sisters in Christ whether that be spiritual or physical. As a result of our gathering and sharing we are going to see ourselves strengthened in our walk. We are going to leave feeling confident and supported. As God calls us to network, we are going to gather and share with all believers because we have everything in common with those who are walking in His purpose, those who are desiring to walk in His purpose, and those who are looking for their purpose in His kingdom. Ladies, we are going to gather like the bible talks about. That way we will grow in purpose like never before. We will begin to live on purpose, and we will go out into our field and continue to prepare for a harvest that will yield more than we could ever ask, think, or imagine.
P.R.E.T.T.Y girl, sharing is caring when it is done God’s way.
Happy Networking!
