Enrich to Sustain

2 Corinthians 9:8-11

And God is able to make all things abound toward you; that ye, always having the sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (As it is written, He has dispersed abroad; He hath given to the poor: his righteousness remains forever. Now he that ministered seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness); Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which causes through us thanksgiving to God.

Welcome to harvest season 2022! Harvest season represents a time where we go out and reap what we have sown over the course of the year. This premise comes from farming, and we are utilizing this concept to walk in our God given purpose. For the month of September, we are going to be looking at four different things that happen to help sustain the harvest. This week we are paying attention to how us being enriched can sustain the harvest.

Enriched means to improve or enhance the quality or value of something. The Bible says that as a result of our sowing we will be enriched in every way, be that a lasting spiritual blessing or a temporary gift meant to help sustain us until the next harvest. If we read the text closely, we once again see the command to give (sow), so that when it is time to reap (harvest), there will be an abundance of blessings. There will be more than enough to spare. We are to be generous in every way so that in our generosity to others, the recipients will be thankful to God. As we know, this is our main goal and purpose. To point others back to Christ! So, I want you to take a minute and reflect on what you've been planting all year. Look at where you've been planting and how you've been planting. My prayer is that you've been planting generously and in good soil. My prayer is that you've been tilling the land in which you planted your talents and gifts. If that be the case, then I urge you to go in holy boldness and authority, filled with love and kindness and present Christ. I want you to sow and reap the harvest for the kingdom of God. Perhaps you can offer prayer to a client or even extend salvation to a classmate. Ask God to show you who is ready and move forward with the invitation. Don't be scared, Sis. The harvest is ripe, and the workers are few, but I know you've been working in the trenches and the time is now.

Stay P.R.E.T.T.Y during the Harvest!
